Goo Goo Gah Gah. That's the first langauge most of us speak. Some of our first real words are da da or ma ma. In time we pick up more and more words. Then we begin to string them together in phrases and short sentences. Pronunciation is also developed. As we go along we begin to associate the words with their meaning.
As a child we are taught to spell and construct sentences. Later we turn the sentences into paragraphs and the paragraphs into pages and the pages into chapters and the chapters into books.
Not everyone who speaks the same language speaks the same language. Take English for example. The English spoken in Europe is much different from the English spoken in America. Those of us in the southern part of the country can hardly understand those in the northeast. Various cultures among Americans have their own dialect. Listening to a rapper is like listening to another language.
Then there is texting. What do all of those abbreviations mean? I never learned to write like that in school.
Language is just a tool so that we can communicate with one another. If we communicate it doesn't matter what language we use (i.e. French, Spanish, German, Italian, Chinese, Japenese, sign language). Think about it the next time you open your mouth or send a message to someone else. Let's keep talking to one another for better living.
